BAF ex SE Asia Effective 1 October 2010
Shipping Lines operating in South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Sub-Continent) to the Australian trade lane have advised of a Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) revision following their regular review of Bunker Fuel Prices. The revised BAF will be implemented for shipments departing from 1st October 2010.

Extreme Weather Closes Port Botany Container Operations, 3 August 2010
Patrick and DP World Port Botany have advised that terminal operations ceased overnight due to extremely bad weather and high winds. There are also Empty Container Park closures at Maritime Container Services (MCS) Cooks River, P&O Trans Australia (POTA) and CargoLink.

North Asia BAF Effective 15 August 2010
Please be advised that Shipping Lines operating in the North Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Korea) to Australia trade lane have advised their intentions to implement a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) which will apply to all cargo. A Peak Season Surcharge is imposed by Shipping Lines when the cargo volumes exceed 100% of available vessel space. All Lines have advised that their loadings during July have so far exceeded 100% hence the introduction of this charge.
